Do you kow what are the heart healthy vegetables
that are best for you and help you avoid
terrible diseases like lung cancer and
cardiovascular disease?

These are what are called Brassica vegetables
or cruciferous vegetables.

They include include Arugula, Broccoli,
Bok Choy, Turnip Greens, Mustard Greens,

eat least one of them per day. That shouldn’t
be too hard if you’re eating at least three
servings of veggies per day, right?

Keep in mind these are important because
they help our bodies fight cancer and
are nutrient rich.

They are filled-to-the-brim with heart
and immune system stimulating vitamins
and minerals like:
Vitamin C and folate, potassium and selenium,
and they also contain fiber, chlorophyll,
as well as phytochemicals, carotenoids,
flavonoids, antioxidants, lingnans,
phytosterols, sulforaphane, isothiocyanates
and glucosinolates and indole-3-carbinol.

All of this makes these super foods!

So, instead of relying on average,
run-of-the-mill ways to get your daily
carbohydrate intake try using some of
these greens instead and your heart,
lungs and brain will thank you for it.

Tomorrow we’ll talk about how these
good eats help you break potential
carcinogens down, metabolize toxins,
and may reduce the risk of
cardiovascular disease.
