Were American Indians Really Environmentalists?

Tom Woods thinks not. In an article published last week he shares the fact that the oft mention line that “the indians were enviromentalists” is nonsensical. In his latest book,  33 Questions About American History You’re Not Supposed to Ask Woods sets out to do the task many historians must do. Historians are usually reviled because they know the telling of history is far more complicated than is often realized. Therefore, they are the shatterers of myths and legends.

Epictetus taught in his Discourses, “…it is impossible for anyone to begin to learn that which he thinks he already knows.” Such is the way of the world.
